For centuries wainscoting has been used to provide richness and warmth to homes. The paneling used was costly hardwood extravagantly carved by the craftsman on the site. Late in the 60's, to mitigate costs, thinly manufactured panel boards with generic straight-line designs were all the rage and continue to be available today. To wainscot a room or home one had to either pay the high cost of individual craftsmanship or just use the less than impressive generic pressed panel board design. Stinson Technologies is proud to say that there is another choice.

Using MDF wainscoting by Stinson Technologies your house can have luxury and Old World charm for a fraction of the expected cost. Any room's decor can be complemented with one of the numerous design, from the Greek influenced Classical design, or the quaint charm of the English Pub design to the traditional Colonial or Presidential designs there is a panel that will introduce atmosphere to any room.

"After installing Gothic wainscoting the character and aura of my loft is overwhelming." (Rose-Marie McDonald, CEO of Kara)

The intricate wainscoted look is now affordable because the MDF (medium density fibreboard) panels are mass produced. The innovative designs are professionally manufactured using the latest CNC (computer) technology, allowing the homeowner to wainscot a wall for less than $3.00 per square foot. A typical 12' x 12' room can be wainscoted for around $350. With MDF wainscoting one gets the rich raised panel look of fine old homes without the need to pay thousands of dollars per room.

MDF wainscoting was designed with the do-it-yourselfer in mind; the process of installation has received as much emphasis as the actual product itself. Stinson Technologies has manufactured this product so that any person with an understanding of basic carpentry skills and tools will be able to install an average room in a few short hours.

"I can't believe how much atmosphere my den now has, and to think I installed and painted it myself just adds to the enjoyment of the room." (Damon Hebert, Sales Manager, Renown Steel)

The extravagant look and the sense of accomplishment will be enjoyed for years.

With over 20 years in the home renovation business we're sensitive to the need to make the product installation friendly.

"The sense of finished carpentry is a rewarding and appealing task. I believe the joining system with biscuits and glue, and finishing method using spackle and sanding is a task most people will find simple and effective." (Malcolm Stinson, CEO, Stinson Technologies)

MDF is very receptive to painting, allowing the homeowner the opportunity to create whatever kind of ambience they would like in the room. The possibilities are endless, for example a sitting room could have a deep wine colour to create a scholastic library like feel or a child's room could be painted a sunshine yellow for a cheerful carefree look.

An instructional 'how-to-booklet' has been created to make the installation and finishing process as smooth as possible. MDF wainscoting can be purchased in home renovating stores across Canada.
